2818 – Maintenance Manager – London, Piccadilly – to £20Ltd x 4 weeks

  • 4 weeks from last week of March. Hands-on role looking after maintenance of all building services equipment – air conditioning units, boilers, swimming pool – at very prestigious health club based in Piccadilly.

  • Role is holiday cover for existing Maintenance Manager who will be away for at least 3 weeks from beginning of April – start last week in March for a week handover.

  • Candidate will need to have good communication skills as he/she will be dealing with several managers and be interactive with the very day general public that use the facilities.

2775 - Senior Building Services Project Engineer – West London (West End) – 2 year contract to £30Ltd an hour – immediate start

  • Mechanically biased Senior Building Services Project Engineer to work on a contract basis on a £12M value M&E Commercial building through to Sept 2009. Project is based near Baker Street and Regents Park Tube Stations. To be capable of taking full responsibility for the profitable control and management of single discipline projects (i.e. M or E). To have responsibility for the security of site materials, plant and equipment. To ensure that the best practice and labour improvement guidance from the Labour Improvement Team is implemented on all projects. To carry responsibility for the financial success of the contract and have a duty to ensure that costs are controlled at all levels and on all fronts, together with ensuring that the client are properly reimbursed for variations and changes to the contract. To be responsible for the overall administration, control, programming, re-programming and progress of the contract and reporting thereon.

  • To attend meetings on behalf of the company, implement procedures for the flow of information, monitor the programme and site progress. To protect and enhance the reputation and image of the Company but to use the resources at their disposal to complete the contract on time and to the client's satisfaction. To implement Quality Assurance procedures where called for on site and be responsible for all Quality Control related to the contract including installations, Manufactured Equipment and installation of the works. To ensure that the Company’s contractual position is protected at all times. To take ownership/ control/ approval of drawings produced on projects supporting the CAD team through to record drawing stage.

  • Ensure compliance with all Company Standards and Procedures. The above outlines the main duties and responsibilities of the position, however, this cannot be comprehensive and other duties, as directed by the company and within the job holder's capabilities may be required. The duties will evolve and be modified by changes within the company.

2768 - M&E Project Manager - Building Services - Surrey/London - c£50k + benefits

2761 – CAD Technician – Guildford, Surrey – c£25-35k + benefits

  • Our client are independent, innovative and informed mechanical, electrical and plumbing services consultants who specialise in providing energy efficient and cost effective solutions to meet the needs of a wide range of private and corporate clients. They have built up a team of individual experts in the complete range of building services sectors and are able to provide consultancy, design, management and commissioning of MEP project services.

  • Due to the award of certain prestigious contracts and expansion of the company, they are currently recruiting Building Services professionals with extensive knowledge of MEP services and installations projects.

  • To provide back up to the engineers they are also seeking a CAD Draughtsperson. You will co-ordinate engineers designs and produce working drawings for tender and installation purposes. You will be proficient with AutoCad and have at least 5 years experience in a related Building Services environment.

2757- Senior Public Health Building Services Design Engineer – North West Surrey - c£40-45k + benefits

2757 - Senior Public Health Building Services Design Engineer – Surrey - c£40-45k + benefits

  • Senior Building Services Public Health Design Engineer with Associate potential. Degree, Chartered (or applying within the next 2 years). Relevant experience in the design and site monitoring of Building Services in the Commercial, Healthcare and Research fields would be an advantage, as would IT skills.

  • Our client has a broad range of private and public sector clients, operating both in the UK and overseas and in addition to the design, monitoring of construction and commission of Building Services, they offer a wide range of advice regarding Energy Efficiency, Low Carbon alternatives, opportunities for Carbon Offsetting and where appropriate the use of Renewable Technologies. Senior staff are members of the CIBSE Low Carbon Consultants Register. The firms 'building physics' team can analyse both new build and existing portfolios, and couple this analysis with design and thermal simulation skills, to evaluate a building's energy performance.   • We are seeking Associate-level Mechanical, Electrical or Environmental Services/Public Health Engineers to join one of our client's busy Building Services Engineering teams in London to work on a wide range of high profile and international projects, mainly in the built environment, working with some the world’s most highly renowned architects.

  • Role: • Developing engineering solutions from concept through to implementation stage for a range of projects which include major sporting structures, education facilities and other public buildings, commercial office buildings, transport terminals, residential developments, museums and art galleries. • Being innovative in changing the design of buildings through a knowledge of mechanical, electrical and environmental services/public health engineering • Working closely with key stakeholders to deliver solutions which exceed client expectations • Maintaining an overview of Engineering design quality in your respective discipline • Supervision and management of the detailed design and drawing production in your respective discipline • Maintaining high technical standards consistent with the project brief • Communicating with clients to establish their needs • Attending and managing client meetings as required • Project leader on multi-disciplinary projects • Managing project team to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget • Supporting senior management in business and technical development • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team • Representing Arup externally at conferences and seminars promoting the philosophy of the firm

  • Position;Data Centre Building Services Engineer You will be a member of a specialist team providing maintenance and reactive services to our client’s data centres.

  • You will assist in the carrying out of Critical Risk Equipment exercise on all aspects on the M&E installations to ensure N+1 status is maintained at all times. We are looking for engineers to cover an early and late shift pattern.

2701 - Technical Services Manager - Fit-out - c£40-60k + benefits – London

  • The ideal candidate will have a professional, pro active approach. You will be an effective communicator, procedurally minded and have some experience in working effectively with customers, consultants and the supply chain. Additionally, you will have an organised and methodical nature, be persistent and thorough, with experience in delivering building services engineering installations in line with defined project goals. You will be able to deliver a quality service and product to clients in line with the project goals by working with the project team and applying the company culture, systems and procedures. Specifically, to manage the building services engineering design/installation process and to minimise risks associated with this to the project and to the company.

  • Key Responsibilities Operational responsibility for delivery of building services engineering works in terms of Health and Safety, programme, and quality. Specific responsibilities: • Attend, and chair where appropriate, meetings with designers, specialist contractors and other team members. • Contribute to the regular Project Report, and attend Project Meetings. • Review designers and contractors drawings for completeness of information and compliance with contract requirements (specification, ER, etc). • Check ongoing installation for compliance with contract requirements. • Provide expertise in planning and executing the building services engineering commissioning. • Responsible for the delivery of the building services engineering works on their projects. • Provide guidance in the production of the project programme. • Produce monthly Engineering Services Status Report for their project(s). • Contribute Value engineering skills. • Propose appropriate specialist contractors, systems and manufacturers for the project. • Contribute engineering services content to proposal team for inclusion in Tender Proposals. • Represent the company at Pre-qualification and Tender meetings and presentations. • Take on the role of mentor to TTSM and ATSM. Experience • Ideally (but not essential) experienced within the fitout sector. • Good understanding of building services engineering, preferably gained largely in a site environment • Previous experience in managing a variety of building services engineering systems installations.
