FM1416 - Senior Hydrologist - £32,000 to £36,000 – Bristol

You will be working for an international engineering, construction and environmental consultancy firm, as a senior hydrologist. The company have an active and growing hydrological work load, focussing on managing flood risk and environmental and sustainable appraisal. This is a key role in an existing team which forms part of our environmental group with considerable opportunities for personal and professional growth. The role includes;

1. Manage and undertake hydrological studies and hydraulic modelling projects
2. Provide day-to-day management and support to small hydrological team
3. Provide hydrological input to Environmental Impact Assessments
4. Support Head of Hydrology in business development and business planning activities

Occasional short periods working away from base location may be required.
Essential Skills and or qualifications;
Post-graduate qualification in Hydrology or similar. Post-graduate experience in Hydrological work
FM1415 - Graduate Hydrologist/River Modeller - £20,000 to £25,000 – Cardiff

You will be joining the Water Environment Team of an international engineering, construction and environmental consultancy, engaged in the delivery of wide-ranging hydrology projects across the UK and occasionally overseas.

Role is to assist in the execution of a range of flood and river modelling studies, with occasional contribution to surface water resource investigations and aquatic impact studies.
You will assist with flood studies and river modelling projects. Job will involve, to varying degrees: internal and external liaison, site visits, data management, hydrological modelling using FEH, hydraulic modelling using HECRAS and Mike11, reporting.

Essential Skills or Background include:
First degree in appropriate subject (e.g. Civil Engineering, Environmental Studies, etc.)
Relevant experience in hydrology and hydraulics field.
Desirable - Familiarity with either Mike11, HECRAS or ISIS river modelling packages.
Experience of both steady-state and hydrodynamic modelling
Some experience in consultancy environment.
Familiarity with FEH (Flood Estimation Handbook)
