318361 - Senior Aplications Specialist - £22.00 - £26.00 - London E14 - Temporary Contract

  • Our client is looking for a Senior Applicastions Specialist who will take overall responsibility for the complete application lifecycle from selection through implementation to support for a large portfolio of related applications, engaging with 3rd party suppliers, partners and customers. The role also includes supporting the Applications Manager in setting strategy for applications ensuring the appropriate strategic fit between business processes and supporting applications considering national requirements and standards and you will be accountable for all stages of applications projects (including selection, procurement, package configuration, development, integration and implementation) managing assigned staff to ensure that technical, financial and quality targets are met and that they meet business needs.

  • The candidate needs to have an understanding of the environment of a large organisation, awareness of relevant customer and best practice processes (e.g. ITIL, ISO20000, IIP, PRINCE2) in relation to the post, Knowledge of the likely business impact of different scales of disruption to ICT application or infrastructure services; knowledge of mitigation and contingency arrangements and Knowledge of the ICT infrastructure and critical application systems used within a complex organisation.

  • Our client, an East London Council, is currently seeking a Senior Data Analyst who will play a key role in delivering their data management services, focusing on LPG and core data management systems. Collaborating closely with the Team Leader, the role will help ensure the quality and integrity of the clients key systems and deliver data and information to business in line with business requirements.

  • The candidate will have a sound understanding of data analysis methods utilising your extensive SQL skills to manipulate, match, import and export data will be crucial to your success – so you’ll need a proven track record of sustained and successful delivery of data management project work. Experience of planning and managing a workload of conflicting priorities will be hugely beneficial.

  • The successful candidate will also be educated to “A level” standard or hold an equivalent vocational or professional qualification as defined in the ICT Competency Framework.   • Our client, an East London Council, is currently seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to manage, by delegation of the project executive / sponsor any project activity on behalf of thde Borough, irrespective of funding source and partnership / consortium arrangement To employ the use of and adhere to the Borough’s current Project Management methods and standards including the production of regular and consistent planning & reporting information to both the Project Board and corporate Programme Office To functionally manage all project resources in terms of work scheduling and quality assurance To identify, assess and mitigate all project risks and issues To be responsible for all project communications To identify and employ the use of all relevant project resources necessary to successfully deliver the project objectives whether internal or external to the Borough To monitor and control spending against agreed budget throughout the project lifecycle.   • Our client is looking for 3 senior engineers to perform verification and validation activities for Baseband equipment used primarily by Secure Satcom Systems Team, as directed by the Test Team Leader.   • Our client is an East London Local Authority who are looking for a Database Manager to provide an efficient and effective information service by ensuring the Family Services Directory (FSD) and Enhanced Childcare Directory (ECD) are updated and used to their full potential as well as taking lead responsibility for developing, updating and maintaining the Family Information Service, (FIS) database.

  • The successful candidate must have knowledge of Data Protection Act legislation in order to ensure compliance and good practice, knowledge of Freedom of Information Act, extensive knowledge of computer systems and software applications including Microsoft Office and databases such as ichis and Knowledge of GIS mapping.

  • You will be expected to have vast experience in project management, experience of implementing IT systems, the ability to produce, interpret and maintain spreadsheets and reports.   • Our client is an East London Local Authority who are currently seeking a Senior ICT Help Desk Analyst to act as a single day-to-day contact for customers and an effective interface between users and service delivery teams. You will log and classify service incidents and service requests; and monitor progress towards resolution. Resolve a substantial proportion of incidents, service requests and information requests without referral. Ensures that responses and any escalation are in line with service Level Agreements.

  • The Post holder Receives and logs on the service desk system, telephone calls, e-mails and communications from other channels, requesting support, reporting incidents, asking for service requests and registering ICT complaints/compliments. Assigns classifications to calls based on procedures and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Responds to requests for support by providing information to enable incident resolution and promptly allocates unresolved calls as appropriate. Makes initial diagnosis of any incidents and advises known solutions where applicable and ensures that all diagnostic information is provided for error resolution and incident analysis where referral is required. Refers incidents to 2nd or 3rd line support personnel in other teams. Monitors the response to incidents against SLAs, informs customers of progress and invokes escalation procedures as appropriate.

  • Additionally, candidates will be required to carry out the following Assists users in making more effective use of desktop systems, products and services and helps users to recover or continue operation. Investigates complex situations to diagnose underlying causes under the direction of the Problem Manager. Participates in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity activities. Ensures that documentation of supported components is available and accessible to all who need to use it. Ensures that requests are handled according to agreed procedures by other service desk staff. For all requests that cannot be resolved, provides an effective interface between users and service delivery teams supplying all necessary diagnostic information.

  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication, influencing and project management skills. They will have a strong track record in the delivery of new HR processes and systems.

  • A good understanding of the HR environment and knowledge of the Oracle HR/Payroll product is essential. Experience of the local government HR agenda would be desirable.

  • Our client provide high quality solutions to the Retail, Hospitality and Healthcare sectors and need to add an Operations Manager to the senior management team. They are a successfully growing corporation who build, supply, install and maintain EPOS systems to the NHS, retails and hospitality sectors via their resellers, in conjunction with Toshiba.

  • In this role you will be in charge of staff management, installation management, facilities management, the supporting of two directors and other ad hoc duties include preparing for monthly board meetings; gathering reports, collect all relevant information such as sales leads etc. You will then hold the meeting which will cover topics such as leads, installations pending, issues etc and motivate the team to move forward.

  • For this role assertiveness, strong commercial awareness, the ability to prioritise, delegate and manage, a confident disposition and firm but fair approach are a must. You must also be flexible to deal with all daily issues and situations that may arise no matter how trivial. IT awareness is key, technical skills and Prince 2 qualifications or at the very least, knowledge of Prince 2 procedures as well as being technically aware with Window operating systems & SQL Server knowledge.
