Our client are a local authority who are looking for a Strategic Project Manager. This role involves ensuring Section 106 funding for project is translated into effective programmes and projects that deliver the outcomes identified in legal agreements, masterplans and strategies. It will also involve assisting in the negotiation of effective contributions that meet the strategic objectives of the client and adequately mitigate for the impact of development on services and infrastructure as well as ensuring funding is fully integrated within the clients overall capital programme to align resources to the best effect wherever possible.
The successful candidate should have an up-to-date understanding of the principles and capabilities of relevant PPM standards, processes and procedures and their applications, a good understanding of methods and techniques for risk management, business impact analysis, countermeasures and contingency arrangements and knowledge of principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through to implementation. Example: PRINCE2.
They will also have experience of projects, working to time, budget and quality, experience of deputising for managers, experience of planning and managing a mixed and varied workload of conflicting priorities responding effectively to the needs of all customers, experience of report writing and communications for a variety of audiences, demonstrating numeracy and literacy, and applying expert knowledge and experience of the effective management of high value, high impact projects on time and on budget throughout the whole project life cycle, setting up and maintaining records systems.

Our client is a local authority looking for a Contract business Manager, the role includes, Co-ordinating the contract programme across business group including forward plan of procurement, allocating specific procurement activities to contract/procurement officers, monitoring the delivery of the programme and take corrective action, signing off all contract documents are fit for purpose and comply with regulations
(including obtaining all necessary approvals) and supervising contract/procurement officer on day to day basis.
The candidate must be educated to degree level with a technical qualification (for example CIPS or Legal), have a good knowledge of contracts and contracting procedures (including drafting terms and condition, overseeing complex procurements and negotiation with service providers) and knowledge of project management techniques.
The candidate should also have a good working knowledge of website management (Internet/Intranet), experience in applying regulations and other corporate policies/procedures to obtain desired outputs and experience in drafting contract conditions and specifications that are appropriate to the service in question.

Our client are looking for a Principal Commercial Officer to lead and provide commercial support in the preparation of bids, agreements contracts based on Company standards in line with the overall EU vet approvals and where specified, business strategy. Undertaking commercial activities in line with company policy and procedures.
This is an MOD position and candidates must have a British passport and 5 years checkable residency in the UK
The role will include the preparation of quotations and commercial proposals for bids submitted by the Business Unit, including preparation of Terms and Conditions and/or review of customers' contract conditions,liaising with departments including Marketing/Engineering/Finance/Treasury/Legal and, where necessary other Company's business directorates, to ensure consistency of the Commercial Proposal with the overall bid, and the relevant Business approvals. Our client is a West London Local Authority who are currently seeking a Temporary Scrutiny Manager initially to be appointed on a 2 week trial with a view to a 4 month assignment.
There will be a requirement for the post holder to attend occasional evening meetings.
The main function is to lead and manage the development of an effective Overview and Scrutiny function, recognising that it is a key function of the Council and that high standards are expected of it by external regulators.
To lead and manage the scrutiny team and to oversee the committees supporting the scrutiny function.
