1911 - Operations Manager - Roofing - Roof Gardens - £24 - £30,000 - Waterlooville - Permanent Position

  • The client has started a Green roofing division, which is an increasing market in the UK and the need an Operations Manager to run this specialist division. This is a new venture which is a divison of the Group - Green roofing; roof gardens, the installation of plants and grass etc on roofs. This area of the business is growing rapidly and our client has seen the need for a Manager to head the division. You will need to have to be a bit of a horticulturalist background and/or appreciation/desire to work with plants because you will need to be able to assist customers with their choices for installation. Full training will be provided however the basic understanding/interest is a must.

  • The role is very hands on as you will be fully involved in the installation. This involves going out on site, ensuring the garden is planted correctly to maximise survival and the overal look. You will then be required to revisit following installation to ensure the plants have bedded in etc. The customer will then enter a maintenance contract and it will be your responsibility to ensure the customer pays for this and that it is then managed effectively. This role is a stand alone role reporting to the Director however you will be responsible for managing up to 3 installation teams depending on projects that are taking place.

  • You will be required to learn all the horticultural aspects relating to Living Green Roofs, provide clients with quotations, manage the whole installation process, general administration, generate external sales, manage the labour on supply and fit projects and in addition be prepared to assist hands on with the manual installations of green roofs (in association with the main teams) to make sure the soil depths are correct, planting is correct etc. This applicant must be computer literate, self motivated, energetic, hard working and looking for a challenge in a very prominent market with excellent career opportunities.

1910 - Account Manager - £40,000 - Central London - Permanent Position

  • Our client is looking for an account manager who will be responsible for client acquisition (including managing the pitch process), relationship development, project management.

  • The candidate will have experience pitching to high level decision makers; Some experience working for a major media organisation; Demonstrable understanding of design development in order to manage the production processes for client materials when required.

  • The candidate must have a good degree from a top tier university, Fluency in Hebrew (due to expansion of our high-tech coverage) and be Legal to work in the US (to help facilitate planned expansion next year);

1909 - Senior Network Engineers x 3 - £Excellent Salary and Benefits - Portsmouth - Permanent Position

  • Our client is looking for 3 senior engineers to perform verification and validation activities for Baseband equipment used primarily by Secure Satcom Systems Team, as directed by the Test Team Leader. This is an MOD position so candidates MUST have British passport and 5 years unbroken checkable residency

  • The successful candidate will have a min 3 years experience in a similar role working with DOORS, SPRINT and MS Office and possess a relevant degree. A baseline requirement for this position is strength within the IT arena with prime focus on Cisco technologies, network construction and verification as well as knowledge of Satellite communications equipments and protocols.

  • The candidate will also assist in the creation, review & maintenance of Test documentation and VCRi, supporting Test reviews (such as TRR, TRB, DRB) as required, writing/executing test specifications/procedures in accordance with test documentation & company Product Assurance policies and have a flexibility to cope with dynamic targets and changing priorities.

1907 – Quality Manager - Farnham – £35,000 - Permanent Position

  • Our client is are Europe’s leading supplier of thermoplastic coatings materials with sites in Holland and the UK are looking to appoint a Quality Manager. They are looking for a candidate who has practical knowledge of Quality management Systems to the requirement of ISO 9001 – 2008 including QC Audit experience as well as experience of liaison between quality, technical and production functions.

  • The candidate will have the ability to Communicate with and train company personnel to ensure understanding of quality requirements, liaise with customers and suppliers in support of the quality management function, have a sound understanding of process control systems and the ability to produce mothnly reports, measuring against KPI's.

  • Ideally candidates will come from a plastic processing background, will be educated to at LEAST HNC Level in a science discipline, together with experience of improving manufacturing operations and MUST have Plastics related experience.

709-314758 – Building Services Engineer - Electrical - Bromley – £23 to £28ph - Temporary Contract

  • Our client is a South London Local Authority who are currently seeking a Building Services Engineer with an Electrical Background for a temporary contract through to 31st March 2010. They are looking for an electrical engineer to work in their reactive maintenance bureau. Candidates should have experience of managing both reactive repairs, slamm design and alterations, cyclical maintenence contracts i.e. Lift, fire/intruder alarm, CCTV, automatic door contracts. They also have a large PIR Periodic Inspection and Reporting programme (5 yearly electircal installation testing) therefore must have experience in this area.

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary professional team providing planed and reactive maintenance for the Council’s operational properties. Conduct regular inspections of M&E installations in buildings for which you are responsible, carry out condition surveys and identify both short and long term maintenance requirements. Inspect the work of Approved contractors, Schedule of Rate contractors and Term contractors ensuring that work is of an acceptable standard and is carried out within the appropriate time scale and to current statuary requirements. Ensure that the projects allocated to you are managed on time as scheduled in the annual maintenance programme. Where required liaise with the appointed consultants on projects and obtain all necessary planning and statutory approvals. Create design solutions for building works, including production of layouts, working drawings, estimates and specifications. As Lead officer, manage other building professionals throughout the life span of the project.

  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary project team dealing with building projects, refurbishment and general repairs. Experience in project management dealing with, contractors and other building professionals. Ability to work with the minimum of supervision. To be able to undertake physical activities relating to the post, for example able to climb ladders and carry out site inspections. Must have a current driving licence and the use of a vehicle for transport in connection with the post. To have an up-to-date technical knowledge of building services design and refurbishment, the ability to diagnose defects and specify remedial works. To have an up to date knowledge of building legislation and statutory requirements. To have an understanding of Health and Safety requirements and CDM regulations.

709-313707 – Transportation Planner/Designer/Engineer - Wigan – £23 to £27ph - Part Time 30 hrs PW - Temporary Contract

  • Our client is a North West Local Authority who are currently seeking a Part Time Transportation Planner/Designer/Engineer through to end of October for the Design and processing of traffic management measures. You will be involved in the identification and design of junction, traffic signal and accident reduction schemes as well as traffic and planning application consultation and input into highways schemes.

  • Ideally you will have a Degree or post-graduate qualification in engineering, town planning or Transportation planning, be analytical and have the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines as well as being a team-worker

  • You will have experience of the role, and IT skills and report writing ability. Ideally experience of working in local government and you may need to work occasional evenings and weekends Minimum Health and & Safety Knowledge Required Must have attended a relevant, recognised Health & Safety course in the last five years.

1776A – Contracts Administrator - London South East- £18 to £20,000 - Permanent Position

You will be responsible for supporting a key Contract they have been awarded. The contract has a comprehensive range of SLA’s, that as a company there performance will be reviewed against.

1905 – Principal Commercial Officer - Stevenage – £Excellent Package - Permanent Position

  • Our client are looking for a Principal Commercial Officer to lead and provide commercial support in the preparation of bids, agreements contracts based on Company standards in line with the overall EU vet approvals and where specified, business strategy. Undertaking commercial activities in line with company policy and procedures.

  • The role will include the preparation of quotations and commercial proposals for bids submitted by the Business Unit, including preparation of Terms and Conditions and/or review of customers' contract conditions,liaising with departments including Marketing/Engineering/Finance/Treasury/Legal and, where necessary other Company's business directorates, to ensure consistency of the Commercial Proposal with the overall bid, and the relevant Business approvals.   • Our client are looking for a Production Contoller with experience of manufacturing environment within the Aerospace or Defence industries to be responsible for the control of business unit/customer orders. This is achieved by efficient management and expedition of procured and manufactured items, as well as solely controlling the flow of work required to meet the delivery of a product to cost and schedule.

  • The candidate will need be computer literate (competent with the MS Windows, Office environments) with good communication skills - a quick learner, flexible & adaptable and an 'eye for detail', progress chase activities, report to internal & external customers, work within a Production Control team and have experience of leading a small team.

0509-309303 - Senior Project Manager - £23.00 to £28.06ph - Wandsworth - Temporary Contract

  • Our client is a South London Local Authority who are urgently seeking a Senior Project Manager to fill a temporary role though to end of March 2010 This post will lead on the development and delivery of a small number of strategically significant and high priority projects within the Older People/ Sensory and Physical Disability division in Adult Social Services. The success of these projects are essential to both improved operational structures and performance in the short to mid term within the context of moving forward to meet the anticipated requirements evolving through the implementation of the Transforming Adult Social Care programme.

  • Main duties 1. To undertake a review of existing senior management roles and responsibilities within the Older People/Sensory and Physical Disability Services division. The review will focus upon existing capacity and functional arrangements and bring forward proposals that address current constraints and future opportunities. 2. With support from management colleagues lead on the review and development of proposals in relation specifically to the current operational arrangements within the sensory and physical disability social work team. 3. Work closely with colleagues from South West London and St Georges Mental Health Trust to prepare a project plan that will support the further integration of the two existing Older People Community Mental Health Teams. 4. Support the preparation of an initial project plan to explore opportunities for increased integration of the Short Term Assessment and Reablement Team with Intermediate Care currently operated through NHS Wandsworth Provider Services. 5. In support of the above projects prepare project plans and provide clear project management to taking them forward to the delivery of proposals which can then be presented for agreement and implementation. 6. Lead on all responsibilities associated with good project management including communication and consultation, report preparation including financial and performance related information, engagement with key stakeholders, both internal and external. 7. To ensure that diversity is encouraged and promoted positively within the development of each project. Including the need to engage as appropriate with service users and carers.
